Hoops and Glitter are excited to invite you to move your body and free your mind with the incredible offerings at Jersey Movement Festival.
Whether you’re looking for an energising or relaxing practice we have you covered with our movement experts from Jersey and the UK.
- When: Sunday 16 October 10:00 – 17:00
- Where: Communicare Youth centre, Don Farm, St Brelade.
A day with like minded people who like to find ways to move there body in new, fun and accessible ways. The day is suitable for complete beginners and all abilities as all the movement activities will be low impact.
- What’s included: All classes listed below plus a surprise fun activity plus we will provide you with lunch.
- Massage: Also available will be the option to swap one of the activity sessions for a Indian Head or clothed back massage.
There will be a maxium of 6 massage slots so this is on a first come first served basis and will cost an additional £5.00. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm booking and request a massage.

Once you’ve purchased your ticket please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and contact details. If you own your own Hoop please bring it, otherwise Hoops are provided. Please bring an exercise mat, scarf and blanket in case you feel cool during meditation.
What to expect:
We are lucky enough to have one of Jersey’s best known Tai Chi teachers Raymond Molloy of Tai Chi Jersey. Raymond has trained extensively in Tai Chi for over a decade and your day will start with Ray guiding you through the Tai Chi series of gently, focused movements that flow naturally from one to another. https://www.taichi.je/
It’s incredibly exciting to introduce Jo Mondy of Live Love Hoop in Brighton. Jo is an internationally renowned hula hooper who has taught thousands of people to hoop all around the world. Having moved to Brighton from Australia in 2010, she built a vibrant hooping community and has toured the world teaching at many major hoop events including Brighton Flow Fest which she has run for 9 yrs. Jo also started a hoop teacher training program in 2011 and has certified over 400 hoopers UK wide. This included Hoops and Glitter’s own Helen who along
with many others have gone on to launch their own successful hoop businesses.
Jo also set up online hooping classes in 2019 and her lessons have been downloaded 3000+ times. So whether you have never hooped before or have some hooping experience this is a special class not to be missed. https://livelovehoop.com/
There will also be a second hooping session with Hoops and Glitter’s Helen.
**Yoga & Meditation**
This will be the perfect ending to a wonderful day. Sarah Howard is a local highly qualified and professionally trained embodiment coach and yoga teacher. She gently and skillfully combines yoga with bodily awareness. You will be shown how to develop a kindful learning relationship with yourself. Sarah holds Psychosynthesis at the core of all her qualifications, having almost 2 decades of experience in holistic body, mind and spirit practices. Aimed at newcomers. She teaches all the asanas, bandhas and pranayama breathing techniques of ancient Traditional Tantra Yoga. The purpose is to build confidence in, and kindfulness towards your body whilst learning the practice of yoga.
Our massage therapists are the wonderful Lisa of Karma Therapies and Winnie who will be offering a choice of 45 min seated Indian Head massage, reflexology, Reiki healing or Aromatherapy massage. Get in and request one quick the timing will depend on numbers booked.
