Lead Cycle Instructor
Role within Jersey Sport: Chloe is our Lead Cycle Instructor within the cycling team. Her responsibilities include leading, organising and reviewing school holiday cycling provision, adult Learn to Ride programmes and co-ordinates the Move More Cycling Pop Up Events. Alongside this, she helps to plan and deliver high quality school cycling session in all primary schools to ensure all children have the opportunity to learn to ride and improve their cycling skills before leaving primary school.
Previous employment before Jersey Sport: Prior to her appointment with Jersey Sport, Chloe taught gymnastics at De Mond Gymnastics Academy. She worked with all age groups from pre-schoolers up to teenagers, managing and delivering a range of programmes to cater for all ability levels. She also played a huge role in coaching the islands young athletes who were competing in National and Regional finals at the elite level. She attended the inter-island games in the Isle Of Man in 2019 as a coach to team Jersey’s Junior and Senior gymnastics teams who both placed second in the team event. In the Summer of 2016 she spent 4 months coaching gymnastics in America at the International Gymnastics Camp, teaching athletes from all around the world. She then found her love for cycling over lockdown which led to her new employment with Jersey Sport.
High level / sports related qualifications: Chloe is a qualified Level 2 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics coach, UK Level 1 Gymnastics coach and she holds an IGC Professional Coaching Diploma Level 1 in Gymnastics coaching from her time spent in America. She also is now qualified to deliver Bikeability Levels 1,2 and 3 as well as ‘Ready Set Ride’. She has also recently gained her ride leadership qualification and British Cycling Level 1 coaching award.
Hobbies: Chloe enjoys keeping active by cycling, running, weight training, paddleboarding and walking her dog! She also loves to bake during her spare time.
