Jersey Sport are holding a special fun Zumba event on Sunday 13 October to raise money to support less fortunate islanders to access local sport and physical activity programmes.
As a registered charity, Jersey Sport’s aim is to build a safe, sustainable and inclusive sporting community in the island, increase participation in physical activity and reduce any inequalities that exist. To achieve these goals, Jersey Sport relies on the support of volunteers, corporate partners, philanthropists, trusts, grants and our wonderful community.
The afternoon Zumba session, taking place from 14:30-16:00 in the sports hall at Fort Regent, will be led by licensed instructor Leila McCreery. No dance experience is necessary – the emphasis is on having fun! Participants are just asked to bring their own water bottle and wear clothing and footwear suitable for dancing in.
David Kennedy CEO at Jersey Sport said, “As a charity, we’re always looking for interesting ways we can fundraise to help make sport and physical activity more accessible for everyone in Jersey. We would like to say a massive thank you to Leila McCreery for giving up her time to support us with this fundraising afternoon, which promises to be great fun, and we hope everyone has a great time!”
Tickets, costing £15 for adults and £10 for children aged 13-16 years old, can be purchased online at: https://bit.ly/JSZumbaTickets
